To alter the background color in an Instagram story, tap the draw tool at the upper right corner, and choose one of the colors.

Choose the post you would like to share on Instagram Story, then click "Add the post" to add it to your Story.

Transfer the feed post to one side of the Instagram Story screen and expand the photo by using two fingers (in the form of a pinch). While doing so you can hold and tap the feed post using your thumb. This will show it on top of your screen.

Place the feed to the right side of the screen increases the chance of tapping -- as people typically tap here while scrolling through the stories.

Thanks to the new Captions sticker, it's easier than ever before to add closed captions to your stories.

Here's how:

Go to Instagram Stories and take a video or upload a video using your camera roll.

After you've transferred or recorded your file, tap on the sticker tray icon to choose the "Captions” sticker.

At this point you have the option of selecting from four different formats for text you can shift the text on and alter the color.

Then you're done! Your captions will be generated on your Instagram account.

Be sure to go through and read the captions before you post. Instagram might not correctly translate your audio.

Are you unsure of the correct Instagram Stories dimensions?

You can post almost anything you want on Instagram Stories, as long as it has dimensions that are at least 1.91:1 and a maximum dimensions of 9:16.

We suggest a 9/16 aspect ratio with the size 1080px x 2024px because most people like their stories to fill the whole screen.

Instagram Stories Hacks #22: See How Many Times Your Post was shared on Stories

Instagram tracks a lot of information about the performance of your posts. This includes the number of views, saves , and followers. However, there's one bit of information you could be missing out on stories that are reshared.

This feature isn't accessible within the Instagram Insights. Instead, you'll have to click the ellipsis at the upper right-hand corner of a post to display a menu with the option to "View Stories Reshares".

This will bring you to a page that shows the public reshares that are currently active.

You can tap on one of the reshares and see it live on the user's account.

If you don't have the option to view reshares, this could mean that your content isn't being shared in any public story.

This is particularly useful in responding to shares you do not have tags in.
